HMRS is a society for the collection and exchange of information for historians and modellers of the railways of the British Isles.
The Essex Area Group, which meets in Great Baddow, offers an excellent way of getting to know HMRS members and finding out more about the society. Talks and demonstrations are given at the meetings, which are open without charge to visitors, so come along and introduce yourself and find out what we can offer you.
Meetings commence at 7.45 pm on the last Friday of the month. The venue is St Mary's Church Centre, Great Baddow, Chelmsford.
This can be reached from the A12 via the A130 junction signposted Great Baddow. Follow the signs on the A130 for Great Baddow and enter the village, passing the church on your right. Continue right round the corner, down the hill and take the first right up Pump Hill. At the top of the hill, take the second right on the corner into The Chase (note: car park is signposted this way).
From the car park head right towards the church. At the path opposite the church, turn left and left again, into the Church Centre.
